I put on my purple shirt to go out tonight - not because I felt obliged to, but because I actually wanted to see if anything happened. If someone started a conversation, or if I saw a stranger wearing a conspicuous amount of purple, then I'd perhaps feel a bit better about the way things were going.

     Holy crap, is it raining. I walked home in the kind of rain that comes straight down and then richochets back up, with the result that I was drenched from the knees down.
